    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Mmm, hope this doesn't show up as a direct reply to the first post, but I don't know how to make a new post.

Anyway, thanks sooo much for the concert vault, I can't even tell you how grateful I am that you put this musical history out there free of charge. It's really more than anyone could ask for, thanks so much to everyone involved. If I might make a few requests, I would love to hear more of Pink Floyd(the May 9th show would be excellent to add, as would really anything from the 70s). Any Tom Waits would be absolutely amazing, particularly of the '85 tour or the '87/88 tour(I believe you've got an '87 show listed in the WV database). His live shows are just incredible, and I'd love some high-quality recordings other than the official Big Time album and the nicer bootlegs out there. Thanks,

    Tucker

    Concert Vault Feedback

Wow this is really bringing me back to my weekends at the Fillmore East. Those were incredible days. I remember seeing Elton John open for Jethro Tull. It was concert really early in his career. He wore some kind of Yellow Jump Suit and had a rubber duck attached to his crotch. That was a really great concert of his to replay.

Laura Nyro is one of my all time favs and you have a concert that I was at LOVE IT!!!!

Blind Faith put on a great concert in there short time as a band. Have any of their concerts??

Keep it up this is more than wonderful!

    budwhite:

OK, the Zeppelin, Cream and Genesis are great, but John Cafferty?  Does a better Springsteen than most all, BUT for Bruce.  I might be a minority of 1, but Eddie and The Cruisers is a good early 80s movie and The Dark Side is a great song - guess the movie was Cafferty's and the BBB's swan song.

Damn, it's going to take me a couple of months to listen to all the concerts on my 'A' list.  And CV is adding 5 new ones a week?

It almost doesn't get any better....I wanna see it too!  I know some were videoed and some weren't.  It couldn't get any better (groovier, if your old enough) than to see the concert!!!

You get to pick what you want to hear, now I'll be glued, at least I can move and groove while listening to incredible music. THANKS  SO  MUCH.

WOW!!-JUST REALIZED YOU CAN SKIP AROUND FROM SONG TO SONG!!

that is such a big feature

i'm familiar with some other streaming concert sites where you have to listen from beginning to end

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

I loved listening to the Wolfgang's Vault recordings at work but now with the change to Concert Vault, a software upgrade to Macromedia Flash 9 is required. Since our network blocks a user from updating software (for security), I'm now unable to listen. You're bummin' me out, dudes! :^(

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Oh joy...the vaudeville band. *eyeroll*  They had their moments where they could rock out, and some of the Flo & Eddie vocals are wonderful, but I've never been keen on concerts from this band. Other than the Uncle Meat material and FZ's solos, the repertoire from this group's tours gets old quickly. The Fillmore East shows on Nov 13 are better than the one here. Hopefully the Vault has more gems from Zappa.
