    Re: Also of possible interest....

I'll second that about "LOSSLESS QUALITY"...I haven't purchased any shows from the Wolfgang Vault as yet but sure would change that behavior if lossless downloads were offered.

    Thanks for your consideration,
    Eddie G

    Also of possible interest....

Well, I'll just put in my $.02, and say that I've purchased all of the shows that have been for sale, and I've been extremely happy. So have a whole bunch of friends who have the shows.

Re: COMPLETE KBFH Mahavishnu Orchestra gig to be unveiled!

Yea, thanks for the amazing gig.  Us fusion fans have been waiting for over 30 years for Columbia/Sony to do this.  You are definetley speeding up the process of getting the proof the Mahavishnu had the strongest music in that past quarter of century!

COMPLETE KBFH Mahavishnu Orchestra gig to be unveiled!

Just repeating SoundChaser's question from Wednesday in case it was overlooked...

"I see this is the only one that is "streaming only"...are there plans to make it available for download?"

    I'm curious as well.

Re: COMPLETE KBFH Mahavishnu Orchestra gig to be unveiled!

I second the above posts regarding making this show available for download as well as the lossless format concept.  Why not make both lossless (i.e. flac, etc.) and mp3 formats available as an option and let the buyer choose?  I've seen this approach work on other sites . . .

Re: COMPLETE KBFH Mahavishnu Orchestra gig to be unveiled!

    YES, PLEASE - LOSSLESS!!!

... and sorry to say this, but - the buyed/downloaded concerts are to loud - simply "overmastered",

tracks don't ends on sector boundary... Why?

Thanks for this great MO stuff,

    sincerely - Mani

Enjoy and spread the word. For anyone interested who hasn't checked our newest MO additions, both are particularly interesting.

One is the first of the 2 two nights at Avery Fisher Hall in December of 73. We recently added the second night so this will complete all the recordings from this memorable 2 night stand in NYC -- right near the end.

The other show is from the Mississippi River Festival which occurred inside a giant tent on the campus of Southern Illinois U. This show is interesting as it is the gig that directly preceded the Central Park show where they recorded "Between Nothingness & Eternity."

Still more to come. Stay tuned! Alan

Your a born salesman !!!  ..... Mississippi River Festival  8/1973  sounds like a must have !

Is there any chance of 1974 and 1975 shows ?  in late 1975 it was the 4 piece "Inner Worlds" lineup

and McLaughlin was using a prototype Moog guitar syntheiser as well as Stu Goldberg on keyboards using a Moog.

They played a "best of set" plus a couple of songs from the 'Inner Worlds LP'  when both Moog guitar and Moog keyboard jam together ........ something special takes place .... it was a really new music and I wish he had continued exploring it.

unfortunately John McLaughlin decided to disband the group and form Shakti so there is very little available

Anything in the Vaults would be jumped on by MO fans ......... also 1974 with Jean Luc Ponty was nice music as well.

In the meantime thanks for the Avery Fisher 12-1973 shows ............ beautiful   :-)

Amen to that brother. Love to hear some live Ponty and Michael Walden era Mahavishnu. They toured with Zappa and Jeff Beck - be great to have those shows too. All that have been posted are much appreciated. Keep up the great work.

Yeah, I'm getting that noise too.  Is it b/c it's a show they're trying to sell?

    Hi Panagos,
I want to check on this noise issue for you and anyone else experiencing this. Please tell me specifically where you hear the problem. That will help greatly. When listening on the CVPlayer, theres a status bar that gives you exact timing on any given track thats playing. Jot down a time or two and get back to us. I heard no major distortion or noise problems when initially logging this show. I also just listened to Meeting Of The Spirits from the CVStream and had no problems. It may have been an intermittant service issue on your end, but if not, I want to help get it working for you. Let me know.

Also, as great as this 3/11/73 early show is, the late show is even better and they repeat only one composition -- and thats "One Word," so nobody should mind that. Between the two performances, they play nearly their entire repertoire of that time. The late show will be served up soon.

    Stay tuned! Alan
