    Re: Jimi the Lefty

seriously....dude do you even play guitar or are you just one of those losers who likes to speculate on guitar playing?

First of all, this whole conversation is retarded.

Yes, Jimi did play his guitar strung correctly for a right-handed guitarist....if he was right handed, but he's not.

The term upside down comes from the fact that he played with a high "E" string as his low "E"

Finally, I liked to finish with some ROOTS

Why doesn't anyone talk about ALBERT KING !!!

HE PLAYED HIS GUITAR STRUNG THE SAME WAY
In Fact, JIMI was Influenced by KING!!!!

Alright, screw this i'm wasting my life arguing with u about this

I'm gonna go do something much more fulfilling like listening to Hendrix or playin' guitar

    Re: Jimi the Lefty

who cares how it was strung. how the notes were pulled. where the pickups were.

    what his heritage was.

all i know is...there was only one jimi.

never ever will be another even remotely close.

not only the worlds greatest rock guitarist, but an equally brilliant composer and arranger.

    Hi guys,

Nice article, Its NYK from Canada. It is a pretty popular misconception that Jimi played an upside down guitar. In fact he used a right handed guitar but strung it correctly. Thanks

    Re: Jimi the Lefty

Just to throw a wrench into this old topic... I have a pictur of Jimi writing... with his RIGHT hand... in fact he was right handed but played left handed

    Re: Jimi the Lefty

. Hendrix taught himself how to play the electric guitar and usually played a Fender Stratocaster. Because he was left-handed, he would play the guitar upside down with the strings attached in reverse order. He was named Greatest Guitarist of all Time by Rolling Stone

This clear up any misconeptions! The man played a mean AXE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
