    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Until the FAQ function comes back excuse me if these have been addressed.

Will the concerts go away? There are so many shows that I want to hear. Should I call in sick for the next few weeks or do the concerts stay up for awhile/forever?

I’ve been listening since March and this is all too wonderful. But with all the craziness going on with copyright expansion, downloading panic, and soccer-mom lawsuits I wonder about the fine print. Can you assure me that the RIAA will not come swooping down on me just for listening to this music? Don’t laugh, tomorrow never knows. There is so much great music to be heard here. For free. Free content. (An oxymoron coming soon to an internet near you.) Have there been any articles or interviews with any of the Vaultkateers that address the legalities of streaming these shows? Was it in the contracts back when say, Devil’s Kitchen played the Great Highway back in 1970? Obviously you wouldn’t build this fantastic site and system without the rights and freedom to do this. Maybe I’ve just gotten too pessimistic about the music biz and the internets. Just wonderin’.

Please tell me there is some U2 footage from 1985 and/or 1987. How about the full concert from the Cow Palace from either of these tours?

The FAQ's are up, they are linked to via the "HELP" button at the bottom of each page. Your questions should be answered there. As for calling in sick: we are planning on leaving all the concerts up for your listening enjoyment. You may want to call in sick anyway, but we’ll leave that one up to you. ;^)

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Okay, I'm just completely overwhelmed. This is the coolest damn thing to happen to online music, period. I'm sure I'll have plenty to contribute and say once this all settles in, but there's too much to listen to right now. Thank you for your works, the tunes, and this beautiful site!!

Here is my list of "must have" concerts that I cannot get enough of:

Humble Pie - Fillmore East - and please include the track " I Walk on Gilded Splinters".

    anything by Johnny Winter

Al Dimeola with Paco DeLucia (and one other, can't remember who)

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Speaking of Bruce, how about some of the many shows he did with Steel Mill in 1970?
As always, where are the Kinks?  Please?
Thanks for the amazing improvements to Concert Vault.  Emmylou in Cinci was my first full vault concert and is a treasure.  I never knew she ever performed Racing in the Streets(to close the Bruce loop)

Re: Feedback and new show suggestions

     Still waiting on that answer..........

    Hey, thanks for replying!
Be great to have that info.
What about my question about why you/they are posting obvious KSAN and other radio station broadcasts from BG shows when you guys are supposed to have the actual "board" tapes? Why put an inferior quality radio broadcast with "voice-overs" and static if you have the "raw" tapes?

I'm not trying to be "hyper-critical" or put you guys down- I'm just hard-pressed to understand what the reasoning is and if it's just an "oversight" or if we can expect more of the same in the future or not. I REALLY like this site and I think you've got a unique and wonderful chance here to make something that people truely want and deserve and I'd like to see it become the absolute BEST thing that's happened to music since Bill started putting ON concerts! I'm sure you can tell by all the gushing praise and excitment how much this music means to thousands of people- they react to it EMOTIONALLY- like it was meant to be- and they/we are all standing by with hope in our hearts that SOMEONE is going to finally "get it right"! To be perfectly honest- I'm more than a little "jealous" that I couldn't be more actively involved in unleashing this stuff on the world! I've been involved in music and music production all my life and I KNOW how much it means to people- IF you're doing it from the heart and you're sincere! AND....... how quickly they will turn and run and leave you in DROVES if they think you are not! Keep doing the "right thing" and you can't miss.......
THANKS ALOT for responding to my questions!!!
Oh yes- PLEASE- can you put some Small Faces or Faces and Buffalo Springfield on?! THAT would be sumpthin'!!! EARLY (Lowell George era) Little Feat?
                      Thanks again!

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

All of the shows are amazing for content and perspective for what it emant to be a true performer. On a selfish note - how cool would it be to have an XM Radio channel with this playlist?

Are concerts removed from the concert vault?

Great site.  I have a quick question.  I was up early this morning and was listening to a Steve Miller Band Winterland concert from 1973.  I got to work a few hours later and searched for the concert and could not find it.  Instead, I saw a steve Miller Fillmore concert which was not there earlier.

Am I imagining things?  In Any event the music is great abd I really enjoy the site.

Re: Are concerts removed from the concert vault

Ignore my last post.  I found it listed separately under Steve Miller.  There is an older concert listed under Steve Miller Band.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Does a tape exist for THE HOLLIES who played in Santa Monica or Berkley 1972/1973???

It is difficult to hear live Hollies so it would be really cool to hear this, and it was at the time of their replacement lead singer( a Swedish soul singer). SO this would be really rarity if it existed.
