    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

How did I miss this? I just read the article in the LA Times and am now neck deep in your website. Neil and Crazy Horse at the Fillmore East 1970??!! I grew up in the Bay Area and these concerts were my soundtrack--King Biscuit, KSAN, Winterland--I worked for Bill in the 80's-You have made my day!

    I've got a few questions

First of all, this has quickly become my favorite website. This collection of live music is priceless. The layout and interface of it are also great.

I am confused about a few things, though. Are more concerts going to be added? If new concerts will be added, how do you choose which ones to add? And at what rate will new conerts be added?

    Thanks.

Re: I've got a few questions

Thanks for the kind words.  Take a read through the "Ladies and Gentlemen..." column which gives an overview of what's new here and coming in the future.  The short answer is that we will be adding at least 5 new concerts per week based on a mix of user requests and how our music people feel that week.  Happy listening.

Re: I've got a few questions

One quick addition to my last post - a lot of our time is spent in an ongoing effort to transfer the music to a digital format.  This obviously drives the availibility of certain concerts.  Hope that helps.

Deepest blessings upon y'all. Just another 55-year-old guy who was there then, and now, thanks to you folks, is there again.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

I am sitting here listening to a Cream concert that my wife went to in LA in 1968...she has talked about this show ever since I met her 20 years ago! This is too cool!

I grew up in NY, & lived at the Fillmore East as a kid. I saw a Mountain show that I went to in 1971 on the list already...I can't wait to listen to it. I am hoping that some of the other Fillmore East shows I went to wind up here....Poco/Savoy Brown especially. I spoke to Kim Simmonds years ago about that show, & he still remembered it.

I don't download music at all, & being an audiophile type, I usually listen only to lps or cds, not lower resolution formats. Is is possible that these concerts will be available on cd?

    Cheers, Marty

Is it possible to burn the shows we are listening to to cd? I wouldn't mind sending a copy of a show or 2 to my dad.

There are no downloads offered at this time. For now only streaming music is available.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

    Wow.

Barely started my day and then began leafing thru the concerts.

Listening to Elton at the moment. Might as well call it a "day". I ain't getting nothin' done today.

Thanks for everything. Instead of the casual visit, I'll be here daily to see what's changed. Very exciting.

What a great surprise Wolfgang's Vault is!!

I don't listen to the radio anymore, not simply because I am older, but because the music on commercial radio is horrendous.

This site brings me back to the days when FM radio was full of great music...thanks....keep it coming. I will support the site and continue alerting my 40-something friends to it.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Outstanding stuff!  I read an article in the Los Angeles Times on 11/12/06 about the site.  I thought there might be a handful of concerts that I would want to hear.  Much to my surprise, the site is filled with a great variety of artists.  Many of them I listened to and had the opportunity to see live. Many, many memories of listening to these great (and some not so great) artists.  The site is unbelievable.  If you can find some live Buddy Miles Express, Ballin' Jack and Rare Earth that would be great.

    Re: Welcome to Concert Vault

Absolutely Awesome!!! Sitting back and enjoying the 1986 Genesis Concert and amazed by the wonderful recording and audio. Can't wait to delve into all the available shows.

Kudos to the "Vault" for making these fabulous recordings available to all of us whom wish for more than the pap they play on the radio.
