    Hope to see these shows...

The legendary 2/11/70 Fillmore early show by the Grateful Dead, w/Allman Bros. and Peter Green sitting in. Hopefully the sound mix will have Green more up, and include no incomplete #s.

The 2nd night of the 1973 N. American Quadrophenia Tour by The Who, first of 2 nights at the LA Forum. Certainly the best show of that terrific tour.

And how 'bout some early shows by these groups - Tull, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Captain Beyond, and Dust?

    Love ya!

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Same question I had...  Ok, first of all V-keepers, I rarely post to forums.  To do so, I've gotta really like or really hate something.  Here, I like... really.  Thanks so much for making all of this great music available to the huddled masses including yours truly!  I can't thank you folks enough cause I'm unfortunately approaching a (non-loud music induced) state of deafness and with the help of an amplifier I'm treating myself to music I either haven't heard in many years or have never heard before.  Now, my one suggestion...  It occurred to me that it would be real cool if I could click on a person's username for a comment left on a concert page and see his/her public playlist(s).  I mean, if commenter X is so excited about artist Y who I also happen to get off to, maybe I'd like X's other selections.  Thanks guys/gals and please keep us all rockin in the free world.  Peace.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

I've been to many concerts at the Fillmore East since it 1st opened in the 60's. I was wondering if any of those early concerts with the Jeff Beck group are available? I'd like to hear some early Procol Harum concerts from there as well. Now i don't want to sound greedy (but what the hell) how about the 1st Zep concert at the fillmore. And if you could fish out the 1st King Crimson concert that would be wonderful. Let's see anything available from the Doors? Thx great site much appreciated. Rock on.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Agreed - there were many great bands & hopefully a lot got captured & could now be released.
I realize that licensing some of these items may be difficult because many bands are long gone.
personally, I'd love to hear ANYTHING from the Tony William's Lifetime shows from 1970, featuring John McLaughlin before he formed the Mahavishnu Orchestra.  I've only been able to find a few live tapes of them & the 'quality' of these audience tapes are almost completely unlistenable.  Hopefully the vault has at least a short set stashed somewhere ...  :)

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback/Crabby Appleton

Pete Haycock, one of the founding members of the Climax Blues Band is still composing and recording some great blues. Check out www.RMISound.com for his new CD or you can view him on YouTube....

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

I'm sure it has probably been suggested before, but it would be immensely helpful to allow users to tag concerts.  It would be much easier to find shows I want to listen to if they were tagged with things like "progressive rock", "southern rock", "jazz", "heavy metal", etc.

Re: Re:video in crawdaddy for classic rockers

I am a collector and have recordings from former band members of the Amboy Dukes -- I have over 900 Nugent recordings and believe that I have any Amboy Dukes recordings out there.

    Feel free to contact me

    Re: Re:Doobie Bros.W/mike or without?

I've seen the Doobie Brothers every year since 1987 and only once with Michael McDonald. I much prefer the "original" lineup with Tom Johnston and Pat Simmons doing the singing.
Mike is a great artist but his music evolved into a bland "cover" artist whose sound isn't distinctive as it is a common sound to Soul and Steely Dan.
I did like his first two albums with the Doobies but he then moved away from the Doobie sound and that was truly unfortunate. I didn't bother to buy another Doobie album until "Cycles" and "Brotherhood".
And, just for the record, it's JOHN McFee, not Tim, and Wolftrap is without a doubt the definitive Concert DVD...by anyone up to this point.

Re: lots of new shows added but not featured

this is just info for the vault followers that don't look beyond the feature page.

WOLFGANG HAS DUMPED A LOT OF SHOWS AND INTERVIEWS INTO THE VAULT BUT HAVE NOT LISTED THEM ON THE FEATURED PAGE.

IN FACT THE FEATURED PAGES HAVE ALOT OF OLDER SHOWS PREVIOUSLY RELEASED.

A FEW GEMS HIDDEN IN THE RECENT RELEASES TAB ON THE LEFT ARE:

    80'S PROG BAND -IT BITES

    SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY & JUKES

    90'S HAIR BAND-HEAVEN

+ LOADS MORE-ABOUT 200 OR SO IN THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS/MONTH.

there are a lot more interviews than music(lots of the shows are short) but its GREAT!!!

go digging in the vault and find your own gems.

for the vault masters-the mott uris show is a gem but aborted.(i was there to see queen's first us tour) so did kbfl get any of  queen's sets???

    be talking soon

    regards, "rpm"

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

    Hello VaultKeepers, What Can I say?!!!! 1st,Gil Scott-Heron is still amazing me{he always has}but I'd forgotten he can write-poetry,prose&LYRICS.Not only is he great at spoken word performing with excellant backing musicians.....well he SINGS VERY WELL!He has&always will be unique but has always been entertaining,socially ontime,ahead of his time.Mr. Heron could have been relevent anytime,anywhere for Everybody,still is....ALWAYS WILL BE.As I stop writing now,because well,I talk too much...a totally random thing just happened "The Bottle" by Gil just came thru my ear bugs...I can't write & comprehend Gil Scott-Heron at the same time.Was Bill Graham a rock promoter or a rare breed of pioneer that invented,expanded the way live entertainment,at it's best can please us,gave many of us our 1st clue that you could blow off steam,party,see your favorite bands&also leave more aware&prepared to try to make things better?Is Mr.Heron one of the forefather's of Rap,Hip-Hop&so much more?Sure,along with being a scholar,lifetime social activist&he taught me{a struggling caucasian gIttFiddle player coming of age outside of D.C.}Your mind can't be too open,we can always help&learn from each other.Anyway,now Johnny Winter seems to have neglected to inform me until just now that some ole guy from Mississippi{how many i's&p's&s's are in there Gil??}taught Robert Johnson,Muddy Water's&Johnny W. how to play....Oh Yeah,I should ALREADY KNOW THAT,because I am well:::::::::::::;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; GTRZAN ; .}
