    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

I don't recall the exact date - but pretty sure this is the San Jose Civic show (with Dio). Is that the same one you're refering to? We waited in line all afternoon for that one - and it was one of the most memorable concerts (of the hundreds I've attended - no joke!). First Dio album and first Ryche EP - one of the heaviest shows at the peak of the metal revival. My friend Mike had a tape of this (radio broadcast) from the show for years, until it finally wore out. Glad I can hear it again!

Oh - and this was a 2 performance night - we were at the first one. Many concerts back then had an early show followed immediately by a late one. We recorded the show when we were back in Felton (broadcast live) - but it's still a "show I was at". =D

    Re: Concert Comments

Is there a search tool or window that would allow users to see when new comments have been added to individual concerts? It seems like the action has moved to the comments on each show--which is great--but its impossible to know when comments have been added to individual concerts. Given that there are a thousand plus concerts, with more to be added, could you add some sort of tool that shows users where new comments have been added to individual concerts?

    Re: Concert Comments

THIS FORUM IS OFFICIALY DEAD!! With days going by between posts, it has to be. The comments part on each concert page is a good idea except for the fact that there is no way to interact with other members via e-mail. Maybe this can be adjusted.

    Re: Concert Comments

Speaking of interaction, I agree with RobMac, it's great to be able to put comments in for each individual show, but the forum has literally come to a stand still and no interaction.

I do have a question though, what happened to the B Sides late show of TREASURE?  It was up, but now it's gone and says not available.  Will that one be coming back?  The early show is still on and running great.

    Hi all,

Yes, it's kind of quiet in here, isn't it? :-)

I think it's generally agreed that concert-specific comments are great, but that we need a way of notifying visitors when a new comment is posted to a show.  We're working on it.

    cheers - Mr. PC

    The Universal Media Deal

So with This new Universal Media Deal, what does this new deal entail? Like what does it mean?  What bands are we talking here with this new deal?  Are we going to be able to download vault concerts from Universal Artists like The Who and Jimi Hendrix?  If so, will it be in hard copy form or download?

Just curious and thank you for your time,

                   Chris

    Mr. PC

Still very much enjoy all that you are posting.

I'm hearing great music from the past that I personally experienced, as well as wonderful tunes I have never heard.

I am curious about some of the Dead shows that have been posted, or more accurately, have not been posted.

I'd love to hear some shows from the 1974 tour when they were promoting Mars Hotel. Owsley was on the tour with his wall of sound, the band was (relatively) tight, and the set lists were stellar.

Capital Center on 07/29/74 would be great, but any show from form this tour would be sincerely appreciated.

Spokane Washington in June of 1980 also seems to be missing from alot of taper's collections, but was a standout performance.

    Keep up the fantastic work!

    Re: Concert Comments

New finder of this site and am absolutely loving it. A child of the 80's it's a playground for me to find shows from the likes of The Hooters, Mr. Mister, Huey, Duran Duran and so many others.

Back in 1985 the Duran Duran spin-off supergroup "The Power Station" was featured on King Biscuit. I missed it back in the day and have never come across it again.

If that show could somehow makes it way into the archive, I'd be one happy pup.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Any thought given to offering downloads in a lossless format (i.e. flac) in addition to mp3 ?

Also, I was dissappointed to see that you are charging $9.98 for the recently posted Mahavishnu Orchestra Bowdoin College show as this show only runs 44 minutes (you had been charging $5.98 for other similar length shows).

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Looks like "Indie Monday" is a bust. I went through the last month and saw 2 comments in total. Does anybody listen to this stuff? Why devote a day to music that isn't getting listened to? This music doesn't belong in "The Vault" anyway. Mondays should go back to the music that comes from the Vault. The lost concerts of the past are what people look forward to hearing.
