Thanks for The Babys - Cleveland show, very cool. Just wondering if you had the entire Elton John - Central Park '80 show? And an obscure request - LeRoux - Nashville '81 entire show.   I've seen a 25 min. show before, but I know I heard a 55 min King Biscuit .They were touring with Kansas promoting  their "Last Safe Place" album.

    Thanks again,

    MrPaulCaruso:
Hi all, sorry I haven't checked in for a while.

RobMac, once in a while we pull shows for either quality reasons or rights reasons. We only post shows to the Concert Vault that meet our quality standards AND that we have full rights to stream.  Occasionally one gets through that doesn't meet one or both of these standards; when it does, and we discover that later, we will remove it.  If possible we will address the issue and repost it later.

That said, we've never had a Leon Russell show from 1971 on the site - only the 1970 show.

GTRZAN, it's a little lonly in here!  I think a lot of folks that may have visited the Forums before are now digging the concert-specific comments.  You know I'll be in here once in a while.

    Cheers - Mr. PC

Hey, I think the Leon Russell show that RobMac is talking about here was the 11-20-70 LATE show you posted on the site a few months ago.  It's no longer on here.  Now you just put the EARLY show from that same date on.

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Thanks Greg. I thought maybe I was having some memory loss there for a while. With so many shows in the vault it's hard to keep track sometimes. However I do have a good memory for things like this and was pretty sure that there was a Leon Russell show on at one time or another. Thanks again for confirming it. Rob

    The Who at Oakland Colliseum

This was a Day on the Green production by Bill Graham and the Grateful Dead opened for The Who. I watched a video of this concert on youtube.com that someone taped with their camera and they completely rocked the place!

Is this concert in the vault somewhere? Please make it happen! :)

    appreciating everything you guys do,

    Chris

Hey I stand corrected here on the Leon Russell show, actually it was posted a good while back but it was the same show they put on last week.  I think that too was the Early show not a Late show.  Is that correct PC??

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Hey, WGV, do you have anything by Rhinoceros?  They did three albums back in the late 60s that were great and then dissolved.  They were considered one of the first SUPER groups with Billy Mundi from Mothers Of Invention, Danny Weis and Jerry Penrod of the original Iron Butterfly, and also included Doug Hastings, Alan Gerber, John Finley, Michael Fonfara and John Finley.  There first couple of albums were produced by Paul Rothchild(Doors).

They did quite a few live shows during that time but I've never heard anything that was recorded LIVE.

So I have a question. Radio concerts like Monty Python, which aren't all music. Will they be online too?

    Petty/Winterland 12/30/78

I wanted to thank you for adding this particular show...as I was there.  It's amazing to get to hear a show I attended almost thirty years ago.  Not to get greedy, but it would be of particular interest to have the corresponding opening acts added....particularly some of the "local" acts that were mainstays as the openers for touring acts.  Names like Earth Quake, Greg Kihn, Terry & The Pirates, and about twenty Grateful Dead spinoffs with various names spring to mind...

Also, somewhere in the KSAN vaults are pre-FM reels of many, many more local shows, including a series called "Rising Stars" that featured unsigned bands such as Romeo Void.  I believe that there is a show featuring the Squares, with Joe Satriani on guitar.   They're a perfect example of a talented local act with good material that never broke out of the Bay Area.   Perhaps they're of limited international appeal, but I remember these opening acts as talented, hard-working bands and would love to hear more of them, should you have the tapes.

    And if you've also got Tom Petty / June 10, 1978 / Winterland..... :)

    Tanglewood Mass Music Shed 1970

This was a Festival that Bill Graham Produced in 1970 with The Who, Santana, Jethro Tull, Chicago and MIles Davis among the Main acts.

As I was rambling through Youtube.com , I saw some of the footage that has leaked onto youtube of Chicago, Jethro tull, santana, and The Who.

All of these artists played phenomenally! I see miles davis allready up here.

I'm requesting that the entire festival this year be put up since all of the artists in this festival were at their peak and they all sound fantastic!

Please, please put the festival up!

    Re: Concert Vault Feedback

Thanks for the Honeymoon Suite. Very cool early show .One of the 80's groups that rocked but often overlooked due to too much MTV exposure. Always liked them, just straight up rock, nothing fancy, just a good time (like Loverboy, and same vain as early Bon Jovi,Babys,Cheap Trick ).

Anyway thanks.Still looking for the LeRoux 55 min King Biscuit,I believe Nashville '81.
