    The Who @Largo/Landover 12/6/73

I am enjoying listening to this concert a lot! Especially wicked is Townshend's guitar tone. The performances of Can't Explain through Real Me are especially intense. Thanks to the Vault for streaming this gig. Finally, both Philly and Largo are now available for Who fans to hear, and in good quality. Cheers.

The Who's 1973 stop at Cobo Hall in Detroit featured perhaps the wildest and scariest ticket sale pandemonium I've experienced in my life. When the tickets went on sale at the Michigan State Fairgrounds........... 10,000 stoned Wholigans stampeded back to the ticket booths to score tickets. I barely survived the stampede and giant "Fallout Shelter" signs were hanging over the crowd.  I'll never forget it.

I remember hearing the original broadcast of The Who's Quad show when it first aired on King Biscuit in March 1974. What a thrill it is to hear the newly remixed and vastly improved version of this show in it's entirity. The sound quality is greatly improved over the original broadcast. Thanks!!!
